Investors Title Company has been in business under the same ownership since its inception and is celebrating its 50th year in business.
The Beginning
In 1969, Jim Fenberg moved his title search business from Chicago to St. Louis and began to slowly build a company based on two concepts. The company provided title searches more quickly and at a lower cost than our competitors. Investors Title Company was then formed in 1972. Starting with one office in Clayton, Investors began to open branches near realtors’ offices to make it more convenient for realtors as well as their clients to close their sales.
Investors Title Company was the first company to do this. We have continued to widen our footprint in the St. Louis area and now have 23 branches and satellite offices. Additionally, having lawyers on staff to support the closing department and clients has always been very important to us. It’s one reason that our company has always been able to close transactions that other title companies are unwilling or unable to close.
The Vision
A big factor in the growth and success of Investors has been its focus on forming relationships with realtors and lenders that help make their business better as well as our own. Early on, the company began to provide added value to clients by educating the real estate community on title and contract issues, through seminars and continuing education classes. Investors has always known that helping our clients be successful fuels our continued success as well.
What Makes Us Stand Out
There are two things that set Investors Title apart. One is its people and the commitment that the company has to them. Currently, there are more than 30 individuals who have been with the company for more than 15 years, and that is something we take great pride in.
Second is our focus on getting transactions to closing by doing everything possible to find creative solutions, that make sense, so closings can happen. Deals are hard enough, it’s not our role to make them harder. We make sure if we can solve a problem, we do.
